We appreciate your interest in attending in our summer academy designed by the Ludwig - Maximilians - University Munich.
Unfortunately, we need to inform you that this year's MEIA program cannot take place as planned by reason of covid19 pandemic and the instructions of the local authorities. Currently, the LMU Munich is completely run online without any presence activities or lectures and nobody knows when travelling in Europe will be possible again.
We regret the situation as it is but do not have any means to change the situation ourselves. In light of the corona virus outbreak, safety and certainty come first.
We ask for your understanding and hope to see you next year.

Politics, Economies, and Societies of a Changing Middle East
The Middle East is one of the most exciting as well as most critical world regions in terms of global politics, world economics and social and cultural affairs.
The 2020 Munich-Berlin Middle East Summer School, part of the Munich International Summer University (MISU), aims at providing students with a broad understanding of the key political, economic, and societal developments in the contemporary Middle East and of the region’s inter-dependencies and interactions with major countries and regions around the globe. In the seminars, students will be taught by academics and practitioners with long-standing experience in the Middle East in an interactive way. The program also aims at engaging them in a dialogue with students from the region in focus.
